Disposable precision infusion filter membrane

In view of the existence of particles in injection, especially in large-scale infusion, which will bring all kinds of harm to the drug recipient, and even cause death, the control of insoluble particles has aroused serious concern in pharmaceutical industry worldwide. For this reason, many countries began to specify the limit of insoluble particles contained in injection liquid in the Pharmacopoeia. At present, the method of adding a filter at the end of the injection is widely used in the world to filter out the insoluble particles in the drug solution. China has also formulated corresponding mandatory national standards and industry recommended standards, which stipulate that medicalliquid terminal filters must be installed in disposable infusion sets.


The key to the liquid medicine filter is the membrane material. Track etched pore membrane with its unique physical, chemical and biological properties and excellent filtration performance makes it an ideal precision filter material to meet the requirements of large infusion terminal filters, especially for precision filters, for a long period of time. In addition, the higher the index requirements of the precision filter, the more obvious the competitive advantage of the track etched pore membrane and other microporous membranes will be.


The application of track etched pore membrane in disposable infusion filter not only has a good market prospect, but also has great significance for improving the overall quality level of infusion device products in China, ensuring the safety of patients' lives, improving the quality of patients' lives, reducing social medical expenses and so on.


With the integration of national standards with international standards and the intensification of industry competition, it is imperative for enterprises to upgrade their technology. There will be a huge market space, with the continuous increase for the use of precision filter infusion devices.


Membrane materials currently used for precision infusion filters include track etched pore membrane, nylon membrane and polyethersulfone membrane. Nylon membrane has domestic suppliers, but their performance is poor. The polyethersulfone membrane mainly relies on the imports, with high filtration efficiency (98%), but its flow rate is low.
